Meryl Streep
Mary Louise "Meryl" Streep (New York, 22 giugno 1949) è un'attrice statunitense, considerata una delle più grandi interpreti della storia del cinema. Celebre per la sua straordinaria versatilità e la capacità di padroneggiare accenti e registri interpretativi molto diversi, ha costruito una carriera che si estende per oltre cinque decenni. Ha ricevuto un numero record di candidature agli Oscar, con 21 nomination e tre vittorie, oltre a un record di 32 candidature ai Golden Globe, vincendone otto. Nel corso della sua carriera ha inoltre ottenuto due British Academy Film Awards, due Screen Actors Guild Awards e tre Primetime Emmy Awards, oltre a candidature ai Tony Awards e ai Grammy Awards. Tra i suoi film più celebri figurano Kramer contro Kramer (1979), La scelta di Sophie (1982), I ponti di Madison County (1995), Il diavolo veste Prada (2006), Mamma Mia! (2008), Julie & Julia (2009), The Iron Lady (2011), che le è valso il terzo Premio Oscar, Into the Woods (2014), The Post (2017), Piccole donne (2019) e Don't Look Up (2021). Dal 2019 interpreta anche Mary Louise Wright nella serie televisiva Big Little Lies.
